Everyone seems to make their annual year-in-review lists. Not me. Time to look into the ol' crystal ball. Time to predict the future.
As we celebrate a new year in sports, I give you the 20 Seattle sports figures I predict we'll talking about most often in 2020...
20 In '20: #4 Isaiah Stewart & Jaden McDaniels
I’m cheating, I know. But I couldn’t split them up. And I didn’t want them occupying two of my top ten spots. After all, their stories are just so similar.
Their NBA size and talent is undeniable, their ceilings incredibly high, and our enjoyment of watching them through the first 15 or so games of their freshmen seasons is selfishly something we’d like to maintain in Seattle for another three years. But the reality is we know we don’t have that kind of time with them. It seems painfully obvious that both Isaiah Stewart and Jaden McDaniels are on 1 & done plans for entry into the NBA draft.
So, in order to get the proper bang for the buck (or tuition, room and board), the two need to put aside a midseason rough patch and lead the young Huskies to a tournament appearance before the NBA seduces the teenagers with their millions of dollars and makes them first round draft picks in June.
