Chris Broussard: “Aaron Judge is the only player in Major League history to wijn Rookie of the Year, MVP and hit 60 HRs in a single-season. He bet on himself, and he is going to get a major payday... I do think there was an argument for Ohtani, had he not won it last year, or if this year was his first fully healthy season.”
Rob Parker: “I’m glad Aaron Judge won, and Ohtani actually had a better season than last year when he won the MVP because of his pitching. But historically, what Aaron Judge did was for the record books. Shame on the two voters from LA who didn’t give him a first place vote, because they’re just homers! How in the world could you be duped into believing Shohei Ohtani was the MVP, considering he didn’t play in a meaningful game since May. I think you’re too close to it sometimes and it’s embarrassing. That’s not the way the vote is supposed to go.”
