Nick Saban: "We were second in recruiting last year, A&M was first. A&M bought every player on their team. Made a deal for name, image, and likeness. We didn't buy one player. I don't know if we're going to be able to sustain that in the future because more and more people are doing it.”
Colin Cowherd: “I’m going to defend Jimbo Fisher. Nick is being a hypocrite, Nick said it for a reason, Nick made it personal, Nick went over the line, Nick needs to apologize, and there is no proof that Texas A&M is buying players. My gut feeling is... [considers it to be true] – no 'proof'; Nick needs to apologize. He needs to call Jimbo and apologize because he picked on kids, he ripped a coach, he ripped a program, it’s unprofessional, and Nick Saban, quite frankly, is held to a higher standard. Nick Saban is on Mount Rushmore up there with Woody Hayes, Bobby Bowden, and whoever else you want to put up there. Nick owes them an apology.”
Listen to Colin Cowherd defend Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher as Nick Saban rains down fire on the heads of the Aggies football program, with Saban continuing to accuse A&M of ‘buying’ all its players just months after Texas A&M used the NCAA’s new ‘Name, Image, and Likeness’ rules to bring in its best recruiting class in school history.
