Dan is ready to put his money where his mouth is as he explains why the Los Angeles Lakers newest superstar, Luka Dončić, is ready to finally win himself an NBA MVP Award next season.
Dan Patrick: “Joker (Nikola Jokić) has already won his MVP's. SGA (Shai Gilgeous-Alexander) just won it. Giannis (Antetokounmpo) has a couple. Now it feels like this is Luka (Dončić)’s year to win it. Then after that they’re going to be like, you know, ‘What’s wrong? You ever going to win an MVP?’ You know, you win the MVP then they want to know when you’re going to win a title. He already went to the NBA Finals; hasn’t won an MVP. But I do think it’s his year. Like if I’m looking at the odds here at +800 for Luka, I’d probably put a dollar on that.”
