Free agency opened up on Saturday morning, 9am PT, with the Seattle Kraken undergoing a transformation of their roster. 

How far that transformation goes is a matter of time. General manager Ron Francis hinted at a much lighter summer this year, due to the amount of contracts in place held by players who orchestrated an NHL record point and win turnaround, en route to a Stanley Cup Playoff berth. 

Here’s a look at the timeline, updated as moves come in, both team entries and exits. 

Kraken projected cap space (on July 1): $20 million

·      June 29: Kraken re-sign minor league defenseman Gustav Olofsson, 2-year, 2-way contract ($775,000 AAV) 
·      June 30: Kraken re-sign goaltender Joey Daccord, 2-year contract ($1.2 million) 
·      July 1: Morgan Geekie agrees to 2-year contract with Boston ($2 million AAV)
