Marcus Johansson buried a wraparound attempt with 3:08 left in regulation to lift the Seattle Kraken to a 2-1 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes before a sellout crowd of 17,151 on Wednesday night at Climate Pledge Arena.
The Kraken, earning back-to-back wins for the first time since late Oct. 26-28 when they beat Montreal and Minnesota, finished their six-game homestead with wins over Washington and Carolina, a combined 26-6-6 by the end of the night. Philipp Grubauer, stellar in net again, earned the second star honors with 35 saves.
