The Seattle Kraken put together a roster on Wednesday. Now they have a schedule of games to play in this fall.
The newest addition to the National Hockey League keeps checking off new benchmarks in the lead up to their first season of competition in Seattle beginning this fall. The NHL announced the complete schedule for the entire league on Thursday afternoon with the Kraken's first 82-game slate being revealed for the first time.
The Kraken revealed during the expansion draft on Wednesday night that they would open the season at the Vegas Golden Knights on Oct. 12. It was also revealed that the hole opener will be against the Vancouver Canucks on Oct. 23.
In fact, the first five games of the season will all be on the road, presumably as the final touches are completed on Climate Pledge Arena. The team will play six preseason games as well with their home events taking place in Spokane, Everett and Kent at the arenas of Western Hockey League franchises the Chiefs, Silvertips and Thunderbirds.
The home opener against the Canucks will kick off a run of 11 home games in their next 14 contests as the schedule moves into November.
The team has just three games schedule in the month of February as the league has scheduled in a break so players can participate in next year's Winter Olympics in China.
The regular season concludes with the San Jose Sharks at home on Apr. 29.
