Over the last two weeks, The Chuck Powell Show has gathered nominees for the first annual Sports Oscars. In nine days and nine categories, listeners have nominated five choices for each of the categories.
On Thursday, the Sports Radio 950 KJR staff, also known as the Sports Oscars Foreign Press, voted on the listeners nominees to find the winners for each category.
As Chuck announced during Friday's show, here are the winners!
Best Picture: Rocky (1976)
Least Convincing Performance by an Actor as an Athlete: Adam Sandler as Paul Crewe in The Longest Yard (2005)
Best Villain: Dolph Lundgren as Ivan Drago in Rocky IV (1985)
Best Coach: Gene Hackman as Coach Norman Dale in Hoosiers (1986)
Lifetime Achievement Award: Kevin Costner
Favorite Athlete Cameo in a Movie: Kareem Abdul Jabbar in Airplane (1980)
Best Character: Sylvester Stallone as Rocky in six Rocky films (1976-2006) and Creed (2015)
Hottest Girlfriend: Jessica Biel as Tenley Parrish in Summer Catch (2001)
Best Sports Comedy: Caddyshack (1980)
