Kraken unveil Winter Classic jersey inspired by Seattle Metropolitans

The NHL has officially unveiled jerseys for the 2024 Winter Classic at T-Mobile Park in Seattle on New Year’s Day for the Seattle Kraken and Vegas Golden Knights, adding a touch of throwback aesthetics on the Kraken home jersey that give a nod to the 1917 Stanley Cup Champions.

The Kraken, in partnership with Adidas, will wear a barberpole style jersey with a red-felt textile “S” and the lettering of “Kraken” on the front, adorned in colors the Kraken say are midnight blue, ice blue, red alert, and a vintage cream.

Red felt numbering, a throwback to what the team says are “aged embellishments and textiles on a century-old uniform,” is applied to the back of the jersey while the inside collar adorns the year “1917,” when the Seattle Metropolitans won the Stanley Cup. The event’s patch will adorn the right shoulder of the jersey, on sale in Kraken team stores, and online through NHL, Fanatics, and Adidas retailers.

The Kraken will square off against Vegas, who will wear what the league says is a “heritage gold” and “vintage white colored jersey with a decorative “V” lettering on the front, in the game on January 1 at Noon PT (93.3 KJR-FM / Kraken Audio Network).
