There's nothing quite like driving around beautiful, scenic highways, car windows rolled down and your favorite music turned up as you cruise along gorgeous stretches of road, whether on a road trip with friends or for a solo trip to enjoy a sunny day.

According to a list compiled by LoveExploring, the "most scenic road" in all of Washington is North Cascades Scenic Byway, which gives drivers a stunning snapshot of the natural beauty the Evergreen State has to offer, specifically with its breathtaking scenery of the so-called "American Alps."

Here's what LoveExploring had to say about this beautiful stretch of scenery:

"Washington's Wilderness makes for some stellar road trips, but the North Cascades Scenic Byway — a 140-mile byway that forms part of the Cascade Loop — is the most impressive of them all. The lushly forested peaks here are often branded the American Alps, and heady sections of road like the Washington Pass make it easy to see why. An overlook here means drivers can stop and truly appreciate those views."
