Carlos Dunlap, Cedric Ogbuehi inactive for Seahawks against Jets

Seattle Seahawks v Los Angeles Rams

The Seattle Seahawks will be without defensive end Carlos Dunlap for Sunday's game against the New York Jets.

Dunlap was made inactive by the team as he continues to deal with a foot injury suffered two week ago against the Philadelphia Eagles. Dunlap played just 23 snaps in last week's game against the Giants as he tried to manage the issue. He did not practice at all this week and was listed as questionable to play.

Dunlap's acquisition in a midseason trade has helped vault the Seahawks into the top 10 of the league in sacks.

Backup tackle Cedric Ogbuehi is also inactive for a second straight week after a calf issue surfaced in practice a week ago. Unlike last week, starter Brandon Shell is back in the lineup after missing two games with a high-ankle sprain. However, third-string option and last week's starter Jamarco Jones is out with a groin/pelvis injury. The team promoted Chad Wheeler from the practice squad on Saturday to serve as the depth at the position behind Shell.

Running back Travis Homer (knee), safety Ryan Neal (hip pointer) and guard Phil Haynes (hip/groin) are also inactive due to injuries. Linebacker Ray-Ray Armstrong was elevated from the practice squad on Saturday to help the special teams unit with Homer and Neal out.

For the Jets, running back Frank Gore (concussion), wide receiver Jamison Crowder (calf) and guard Pat Elflein (shoulder/ankle) are all active after being listed as questionable to play.

But the Jets are missing several players as well.

Safety Ashtyn Davis (foot), safety Bennett Jackson (hamstring) and center/guard Greg Van Roten (toe) were all placed on injured reserve on Saturday after being ruled out. Linebacker Jordan Jenkins is out with a shoulder injury and wide receiver Denzel Mims is not with the team as he attended to a family emergency and can't play due to COVID-19 protocols of missed daily testing.

Jenkins is the only injured player among the Jets' six inactives. Quarterback James Morgan, wide receiver Vyncent Smith, safety J.T. Hassell, cornerback Elijah Campbell, tight end Ross Travis and offensive lineman Cameron Clark are the rest of the inactives for the Jets.
