Unfortunately, you won't be hearing any more "Number 74 is eligible" at CenturyLink Field this fall during Seattle Seahawks games. Yes, the swing tackle and offensive lineman George Fant is no longer with the organization, having just signed with the New York Jets, per reports on Monday.
While Fant never took a full-time starting job on the Seahawks line, he was always a dependable player who could swing sides, provide an extra blocker, and start in place of injured other players. Not to mention his talents on the receiving end (see below). And now George gets paid big time.
But did the Seahawks even make an offer to Fant in free agency? Why is he in New York and not Seattle? And what does the 30 million dollar man think of the NFL's new CBA deal? He joined Softy and Dick Fain on Tuesday's show to answer those questions and more. Listen below!
