The Seahawks have reportedly placed restricted free agent tenders on tight end Jacob Hollister and wide receiver David Moore.
Hollister was given a second-round tender, per Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, while Moore received an original round tender, per Brady Henderson of ESPN.com.
Hollister was acquired from the New England Patriots for a seventh-round pick last season and did an admirable job at the position with Will DIssly and Ed Dickson missing most, or all, of the season. Hollister caught 41 passes for 349 yards with three touchdowns as he became a frequent target of quarterback Russell Wilson in the latter stages of the season. Hollister caught the game-winning touchdown in overtime against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in November and came within a yard of repeating the feat in Week 17 against the San Francisco 49ers.
Moore has shown to be a serviceable reserve receiver with peaks and valleys during his three years with Seattle. He caught 17 passes for 301 yards and two touchdowns last year for the Seahawks.
Restricted free agent tenders are non-guaranteed but entitled the player's current team to draft pick compensation should another team sign them away in free agency. Hollister and Moore remain eligible to sign offer sheets from other teams. If the Seahawks then choose not to match, they would receive the corresponding draft pick in return. Hollister would net a second-round pick while Moore's draft pick was a seventh-round selection.
While the amount of Hollister's tender has not been reported, second-round tenders were valued at just over $3 million last year.
It's not yet clear if Seattle tendered deals to defensive end Branden Jackson or center Joey Hunt, who are both restricted free agents as well.
Notes:
-- Josina Anderson of ESPN reported that the Seahawks had "preliminary interest" in both wide receiver Phillip Dorsett and safety Damarious Randall.
Dorsett spent the last three years with the Patriots after playing his first two seasons with the Indianapolis Colts. Dorsett caught 29 passes for 397 yards and five touchdowns last year for New England.
Randall is a strong safety that spent his last two seasons with the Cleveland Browns after playing his first three years for the Green Bay Packers. Randall has been a starter throughout his five seasons and has 14 career interceptions, though all of them came in his first four seasons.
-- Tackle George Fant is the first free agent with Seahawks' ties to find a new team. Per Adam Schefter of ESPN.com, Fant has agreed to a three-year deal worth $30 million with $13.7 million guaranteed. The move will give Fant the opportunity he has been looking for to be a full-time starter after being used mostly as a jumbo tight end with spot start duty the last two seasons.
