Remember prized Seattle Mariners pitching prospect Taijuan Walker? Remember your feelings when the M's dealt him to Arizona in a trade package for Jean Segura and Mitch Haniger? Well, fret no longer because Walker has reportedly returned to the Mariners today per Jeff Passan and others, including a teasing tweet by Walker himself...
While with the Mariners organization, Walker started 62 games including three complete games, a 22-22 record and 4.18 ERA. After being traded to the D-Backs, he went 9-9 in 28 starts in 2017 with a 3.49 ERA. The last two years, however, the 27-year-old has dealt with injuries and only pitched in four total games.
Still fairly young, Walker now returns to where his career started with a chance at making a different on an also young and rebuilding team. In case you forgot, check out some highlights of Walker in Seattle below!
