Mitsubishi Motors Las Vegas Bowl - Washington v Boise State

Everyone seems to make their annual year-in-review lists. Not me. Time to look into the ol' crystal ball. Time to predict the future.

As we celebrate a new year in sports, I give you the 20 Seattle sports figures I predict we'll talking about most often in 2020...

Like it or not, NFL Draft season lasts a good three months, and it becomes the dominant sports radio topic during the month of April. From mock drafts to combine underwear jokes, we’ll all be trying to figure out who fits the Seahawks best at #27 (until they trade down). Of course, that particular analysis really won’t kick in until draft night.

But one of the most fascinating subjects leading up to draft night is likely going to center around a Husky. Soon, a nation of self-appointed experts will have devoted a great deal of their Spring attempting to figure out where the golden-armed quarterback with the suspect college resume should be taken.

I’m a firm believer in the process of the draft. And you can now count me among a diminishing minority who believe Eason is going to fly up draft boards once NFL general managers get an up-close and personal look at what unique arm talent he possesses. Not everyone is going to fall in love with the prospect of coaching him up, but there will be three or four executives salivating over the challenge of molding him into their next franchise quarterback. I expect Eason to go much higher in the draft than the analysts are currently predicting.
