20 In '20: #10 Megan Rapinoe
I’m not sure the star of the Seattle Reign can top being named Sports Illustrated Person of the Year, as she did in 2019, but the soccer star and political activist has grabbed America’s attention and is clearly unafraid to stir any pot she desires. Rapinoe no longer requires a stage to rage, but she’s going to have one in 2020.
The US soccer team will likely win gold in Tokyo this summer, and I doubt the civic goals, soccer goals and celebrations of both ended at the World Cup.
