Luke Willson, Quandre Diggs inactive for Seahawks against 49ers

Seattle Seahawks v Los Angeles Rams

SEATTLE -- After being added to the injury report on Saturday as questionable to play due to a hip injury, the Seahawks will be without tight end Luke Willson against the San Francisco 49ers.

Willson joins free safety Quandre Diggs as players listed as questionable to play that ultimately could not suit up for the de facto NFC West championship game on Sunday night.

Diggs has been unable to practice for the last two weeks due to a high-ankle sprain sustained in the team's win over the Carolina Panthers. The Seahawks will be playing next week regardless of the outcome of Sunday night's game so giving Diggs an additional week to recover without pushing his ankle injury makes sense.

Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney (core) and cornerback Shaquill Griffin (hamstring) are both back after missing the last two games with injuries.

Left tackle Duane Brown is out after having surgery on Monday to address a meniscus issue in his knee. The recovery time isn't expected to be lengthy but Brown is still waiting for swelling to subside from the procedure. Reserve wide receiver Malik Turner is also out after sustaining a concussion in last week's loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

Backup offensive lineman Ethan Pocic is also out after being questionable with a core injury that surfaced on the injury report this week.

Linebacker Dekoda Watson and defensive tackle Bryan Mone are the two healthy scratches for Seattle among the group. Watson has been with the team the last two weeks as added depth as both a rusher and special teams player. Mone was promoted from the practice squad after the suspension of Al Woods last week.

Marshawn Lynch and Robert Turbin are both active and set to play after returning to the team this week to offset the season-ending injuries to Chris Carson and C.J. Prosise.

The 49ers will be without defensive end Dee Ford and safety Jaquiski Tartt due to injuries. Defensive tackle Jullian Taylor was also placed on injured reserve after tearing his ACL in practice this week.

Ford was ruled out on Friday due to quadriceps and hamstring injuries. Tartt was listed as doubtful to play due to injuries to his ribs.

Backup quarterback C.J. Beathard is inactive after his brother, Clayton, was killed in a stabbing this week in Nashville.

Healthy scratches for the 49ers are running back Jeff Wilson Jr., cornerback Dontae Johnson, tight end Daniel Helm and wide receiver Jordan Matthews.
