Seven Seahawks questionable for game against L.A. Rams

RENTON -- The Seahawks won't know until Sunday morning whether several key players will be able to play against the NFC West leading Los Angeles Rams.

Safety Bradley McDougald, running back Chris Carson and right guard D.J. Fluker are among seven players listed as questionable to play on Sunday.

McDougald (knee), Carson (hip) and Fluker (calf) all three left last Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers due to their injuries.  McDougald was the only one of the trio able to practice at all this week. He was limited in the team's final practice on Friday.

"He worked today and so we’ll see how he comes out of that," head coach Pete Carroll said of McDougald.

All three players will go through pregame workouts before the team will determine if they are able to play or not.

Delano Hill would get the start in place of McDougald if he is unable to play with Mike Davis set to go in place of Carson. Carroll wouldn't say who would start in place of Fluker, but Ethan Pocic would be the most likely option.

It would be Hill's first career start.

"He had a good week," Carroll said of Hill. "These are two really good weeks. I mentioned it to you at the end of last week too that he had really stepped up in the preparation, he got a lot of work. Just missed a few reps when Bradley was getting turns today, but he did a really good job and he’s ready to play and we’ll be fine if he plays."

Linebacker K.J. Wright is expected to be able to play after getting a practice in on Friday. He's still being managed as he works back from a knee surgery that forced him to miss the first six games of the year.

"Any of the guys that are coming back this late, we’ve got to make sure the work they did today doesn’t set them back," Carroll said of Wright. "In essence we’re waiting until game day but he looked pretty good and got enough done to look like he’s going to be ready to go."

Defensive tackle Shamar Stephen was away from the team at times this week getting a foot issue that had been on the injury report for several weeks addressed. Despite not practicing all week, Carroll said Stephen feels confident he'll be able to play.

"He was getting treatment all week out of the area, special treatments and all the reports from Shamar are that he feels great," Carroll said. "That will go all the way to game day because we haven’t seen him, but we’re counting on… he knows his body and he’s reporting pretty strongly that he’s going to be OK."

Defensive tackle Nazair Jones is expected to play as well after an illness kept him out of practice on Thursday.

Cornerback Neiko Thorpe is doubtful to play due to a groin injury and guard Jordan Simmons is questionable due to a calf issue. Both Thorpe and Simmons have missed the last couple of game with their injuries.

The Rams are completely healthy with no injuries listed on their report this week.
