Friday, September 14, 1990: The Seattle Mariners faced the California Angels at Anaheim Stadium. Ken Griffey, Sr hits a 2-run home run with no outs in the top of the first inning. Ken Griffey, Jr followed with a home run of his own. Both blasts were to deep left centerfield. The Mariners would go on to lose the game, 7-5. Winning pitcher for the Angels was Bob McClure and the losing pitcher for the Mariners was Matt Young.
The Angels' Dave Winfield also hit two home runs that night, one in the 3rd and the other in the 7th.
