Ken Griffey Jr drives a solo home run to deep right field during the bottom of the 7th inning to tie the major league record of eight consecutive games with a home run. He joined the exclusive club with Don Mattingly & Dale Long. The Mariners would go on to lose the game, 5-1. Winning pitcher for the Twins was Willie Banks and the losing pitchers for the Mariners was Randy Johnson.
