On Monday night, Kathy McVay was attending the Phillies-Cardinals game at Citizens Bank Park when the Philly Phanatic came out onto the field with his hot dog launcher.
He started firing real hot dogs into the stands. Real hot dogs that are wrapped in duct tape. One of them hit Kathy McVay right in the face.
"And then the next thing I know he shot it in our direction, and bam! It hit me like a ton of bricks. My glasses flew," McVay said.
She ended up in the emergency room for a CAT scan to make sure she didn't suffer a concussion.
The Phillies have apologized for the incident and have offered tickets to another game when she's feeling better and wants to return to the park.
