Rob Rang breaks-down every Seahawks 2018 draft pick

Now that the 2018 NFL Draft is officially over, the fun part begins, actually seeing the players compete on the gridiron. But before we get too far ahead, Rob Rang from and the Pro Football Hall of Fame joined The Ian Furness Show today with analysis and break-downs for the Seahawks 2018 draft picks.

SDSU RB, Rashaad Penny:

"I was very high on Rashaad Penny way back in November and December, specifically for the Seahawks because he does run down-hill, he does have the size they want, as well as the 4.4 speed... He's going to come in and I think he is going to wind up being (the Seahawks) starter and I think he's a dark horse candidate to be the offensive rookie of the year."

USC DE, Rasheem Green:

"(Green) is a defensive lineman. He has enough burst to give you the edge rush and he can also slide inside and play that three-technique. (Green) is strong enough, he's quick enough to be able to give you that initial burst and very similar type of player to Michael Bennett... I think he has potentialy Pro-Bowls in his future."

Washington TE, Will Dissly:

"(Dissly) is the best run-blocker in this draft class. I hesitate to call (Dissly) too one-dimensional... John Schneider talked about how soft Dissly's hands are and just the body control he showed. I think just because Dissly didn't get many opportunities to catch the ball at Washington, doesn't he mean he can't possibly do it. There is some untapped potential in that regard as a pass-catcher. Again, lets be clear, this all about Seattle getting bigger and tougher at the line of scrimmage..."

UCF OLB, Shaquem Griffin:

"(Griffin) is the (American Athletic Conference) Defensive Player of the Year and I was just floored at how good of a player he is. (Griffin) has a different level of acceleration, he accelerates to the football so well, in part because he has terrific instincts... He's a terrific open field tackler with a knack for making the big plays at critical moments.  I think for the Seahawks he's going to initially play special teams and weak-side linebacker..."
