Cornerback Dontae Johnson may not be Richard Sherman, and it may not make up for the loss of #25 to the Seahawks' rivals in the Bay, but he's another player that will be able to help pick up the pieces in Seattle's secondary in 2018.
John was drafted by San Francisco in 2014 in the fourth round but the 26 year old, 6'2 corner now makes his way to a team that has thrived with tall corners for the last six years. Johnson has two career interceptions, including a pick-six in 2017, as well as 21 passes defensed and 135 tackles.
Dontae played in all but one game in his NFL career (missed one game in 2016) and started all 16 games for the 49ers last season. No details have been released yet on his contract. Check out some highlights from early in his career below.
