After three seasons in Miami where he reached 3,000 hits in MLB and two and a half years with the New York Yankees, future Hall of Fame outfielder Ichiro Suzuki is returning to the Seattle Mariners, where he spent more than 11 seasons between 2001 and 2012. This, according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today.
In his time with the Mariners, Ichiro set the single-season hit record, won the American League MVP Award and Rookie of the Year Award in the same season, and holds the franchise records for hits, batting average, stolen bases, at bats, and triples.
