Sheldon Richardson, Earl Thomas inactive against Washington

Houston Texans v Seattle Seahawks

SEATTLE -- The Seahawks will be without free safety Earl Thomas and defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson against the Washington Redskins.

Thomas was ruled out on Friday due to a hamstring strain, but Richardson was not cleared to play due to an oblique strain sustained in practice last week.

Tackle Rees Odhiambo is inactive for Seattle after the team traded for Duane Brown this week. Odhiambo started the first seven games of the season at left tackle for the Seahawks but Matt Tobin will serve in the reserve role on Sunday.

Running back C.J. Prosise (ankle), guard Luke Joeckel (knee) and cornerback Jeremy Lane (thigh) are also inactive for injuries. Guard Jordan Roos is a healthy scratch.

However, Washington is in much worse shape on the injury front. The Redskins will be without three starting offensive linemen, a starting tight end, a starting wide receiver and a starting defensive end.

Left tackle Trent Williams, left guard Shawn Lauvao, center Spencer Long, tight end Jordan Reed, wide receiver Jamison Crowder and defensive end Matt Ioannidis are all starters that are inactive for the Redskins against Seattle. Tight end Niles Paul is also inactive due to injury.

However, the Redskins are so banged up other players in uniform could be highly limited as well. Right guard Brandon Scherff and cornerback Bashaud Breeland were questionable to play with injuries of their own. Backup tackle Ty Nsekhe was listed as doubtful but is in uniform anyway.
