Washington receiver John Ross was selected with the ninth overall pick in the draft by the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night.
Ross becomes the highest Husky selected since Jake Locker went eighth overall to the Tennessee Titans in 2011.
Ross was the third wide receiver selected behind only Western Michigan's Corey Davis (No. 5 Tennessee Titans) and Clemson's Mike Williams (No. 7 Los Angeles Chargers).
Ross shot up draft boards when he ran a record 4.22 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine in February. Despite injury concerns surrounding past knee injuries, Ross still managed to crack the Top 10. He'll provide a speed receiver to pair with A.J. Green with the Bengals.
