'Kelsey Plum Night' at Hec Ed

3,315 down, 79 to go.

That's how many points Kelsey Plum needed entering Thursday night's game against Colorado to surpass Jackie Stiles to become the all-time scoring leader in NCAA women's hoops history. It would be quite a stretch to expect the senior from Poway, California to break the record on Thursday night which was "Dubbed" 'Kelsey Plum Night' at Alaska Airlines Arena, but she would certainly chip away at it heading into the final regular season game.

UW stormed out to a 10-0 run against Colorado forcing a quick timeout. However, the Buffs regrouped and were able to create a marginally competitive ballgame at halftime. Chantel Osahor who recently crossed the 1,000 point mark in her Husky career to go with her all-time rebounder record for the program led the way with 19 first-half points. Meanwhile, Plum struggled to find her groove early with 9 at the break on 2/7 from the field.

Halftime: Washington 38, Colorado 27

Washington's lead continued to grow as the second half progressed with Kelsey Plum carving up the CU defense with crossovers that would make Jamal Crawford blush. Additionally, wide-open trips to the cup where the Colorado defense was caught napping helped add to the ever-growing lead. When the dust settle, the Dawgs were victors by the final score of 79-46 and Kelsey Plum's 25 points puts her 54 from the record which will likely have to wait until the PAC-12 tourney down the road at KeyArena next week.

Final: Washington 79, Colorado 46
