Forward Oliver Bjorkstrand will represent the Seattle Kraken in the initial wave of roster introductions, named to the Western Conference team for the upcoming 2024 NHL All-Star Game in Toronto.

Bjorkstrand will make his first career appearance, named as one of the initial 32 players to the rosters across the Western and Eastern Conferences, selected by the league's hockey operations department. One player was chosen from each NHL team.

The remaining 12 All-Star selections to fill out the rosters will be determined by a fan vote with the NHL at nhl.com/vote.

Bjorkstrand, 28, is in his second season with the Kraken and well on his way to breaking last year's 20-goal mark, a pace he's set three previous times in his career. He currently sits second on the Kraken both in goals (11) and points (28), entering the new calendar year on a heater with eight points in the previous eight games.

Center Matty Beniers was named to last year's All-Star Game as lone representative for the Kraken, eventually sitting out of the game due to injury after taking a check from Tyler Myers of the Vancouver Canucks. Veteran forward Jordan Eberle was the first All-Star selection in Kraken history, scoring a goal in the 2021-22 contest in Las Vegas.

The 2024 NHL All-Star Game will be held at Scotiabank Arena, home of the Toronto Maple Leafs, on Feb. 3.
